About WillBridge
Transforming Homeless to Hopeful
WillBridge provides four primary services to the Santa Barbara homeless Community: Transitional Housing - shared housing offered to chronic homeless mentally ill adults. It is their first step when coming in from the streets, and moving to greater independent living. Permanent Supportive Housing is the next tier in WillBridge’s housing program for residents demonstrating their readiness for less supervision and more independence. These individuals move into private rooms or studio units, are enrolled in school, employed, or actively participating in a day program with 30% of their income going towards housing expenses. Peer Street Outreach Program - team (WillBridge staff, residents, Public Health Nurse, comunity volunteers) connect with an average of 65 chronic homeless individuals weekly not accessing services - they recieve clothes, hygiene products, sack lunches, assistance in completing applications for benefits, rides to scheduled appointments, referrals for additional services & encouragement to come to WillBridge or other housing options. Medical Respite - homeless individuals referred by Cottage Hospital for after-care following major surgery or illness.
